What's New at CorVasc
CorVasc Surgeon participates in new study

CorVasc Surgeon, Christopher Salerno M.D, is part of a group of surgeons at St. Vincent's Hospital who are implementing the new HeartNet Ventricular Support System to help patients with enlarged hearts. The HeartNet device is implanted by surgeons making a 2-3" incision in the patient's chest and with the use of an elongated tube, an elastic net is placed around the lower part of the heart reducing its work load.

St. Vincent's Hospital is the first hospital in the state to implant the HeartNet device and are amongst 40 hospitals in the country performing the operation.
